This week has seen the launch of social media campaign #FarmingCares. This positive initiative will be promoted by the NFU in the South East through social media channels such as Twitter, and at shows and events through the course of 2020.
There has been a lot of negative comment about our industry lately, and whilst we cannot force media outlets to use what we send them, or force them to get a comment from us, we can continue to utilise social media in a positive way. And we need your help! In the first instance we’re encouraging members to harness social media with this regional initiative. Use #FarmingCares to tell your own story about how you care, demonstrating our industry’s world-class production standards on everything from the environment to animal welfare and food safety. This new initiative will certainly augment existing NFU campaigns work, so when tweeting, do also consider using the hashtag #BackBritishFarming – see more here https://www.nfuonline.com/back-british-farming/
