Almost all the MPs contacted by the NFU – including farming minister George Eustice and shadow Defra secretary Kerry McCarthy – attended the reception and were keen to hear from their constituents.
Issues raised included commodity prices, the Basic Payment Scheme and bovine TB – all of which we will be following-up with the MPs, including those who were unable to attend. Our thanks to Neil Parish MP, chairman of the Commons Efra committee, for sponsoring the event.
