We led the industry with the first ever Milk Pledge, guaranteeing a fair return for the UK dairy farmers that supply our liquid milk, and have also developed relationships with UK lamb producers to supply year around speciality lamb to our customers. In addition, the majority of our proteins, including all beef and fresh pork are sourced from the UK.
Our Farming for the Future programme sees us working with all our farmers and growers to help them address the sustainability challenges they face, ensuring that we have a vibrant farming sector for the long term. Tom and Ben Youngs, Leicester Tigers and England rugby stars
Rugby paying farmer's sons Tom and Ben Youngs signed the charter as part of the Back British Farming tour in autumn 2013.
Tom Youngs explained why they were so happy to pledge their support: “It’s a massive industry, it runs the country. I think British farmers do a great job – they produce some excellent food and they’re always striving to improve. It’s a really driven industry and it’s just fantastic to support it.”

The presenter of the BBC's Saturday Kitchen show signed the campaign's charter while visiting NFU President Peter Kendall in London last September.
