They have reviewed how they record and report EPR Intensive Pig and Poultry inspections. From the 1st January 2015 all operators will receive a Compliance Assessment Report (CAR Form) following an inspection rather than a post visit letter, see below documents. The CAR Form will provide the same information as is currently provided in a post visit letter but in a different format.
The EA state that this new approach helps them record visits on their database more efficiently. The EA have been trialling this new approach in a number of areas and they claim this new report format has been well received by operators.
The site officer will explain this new approach to operators during the inspection and send them the attached guide, which explains the new report form layout, see related document below. If operators have any questions about the CAR form, they should contact their EA site officer.
