2015 survey of land managed under CFE

An SPS Form being filled in_275_183

The survey form is sent to a sample of 5,500 farm businesses, and the 2015 survey is happening now (the deadline for forms to be returned is 29th May)

CFE partners are encouraging anyone who receives the form to complete and return.

CFE National Coordinator, Sam Durham, says;

"We recognise that this is a very busy time for farmers with the complexities of greening to deal and the trials of working with the changing Basic Payment Scheme claims process, alongside the actual business of farming.

"However, this survey is very important to the industry as it can provide the evidence on the amount that farmers are doing for the environment. The survey should only take 5 or 10 minutes to complete, and it would be fantastic if we could see good numbers of the form returned.

"The current survey includes questions on how farmers are adding value to basic Ecological Focus Areas, and this detail will prove extremely interesting for CFE partners."

The last survey showed that 450,000 hectares were managed under CFE measures, all the results from previous CFE surveys can be found here.
