BPS 2020 greening reminders

Fields and woodland in Staffordshire

The NFU’s BPS experts have put together a briefing, highlighting the main greening rules for fallow land and ecological focus area (EFA) catch and cover crops.

The briefing should also be read in conjunction with the published BPS guidance available on Gov.uk here.

Please pay particular attention to the catch and cover crop rules, as we have seen a number of members in previous years getting confused about the rules or forgetting to establish the crops after submitting their BPS applications.

NFU members: Download the briefing on greening rules for fallow land, EFA, catch and cover crops here.

This briefing was uploaded on 8 June 2020 to include information from the RPA clarifying the greening rules due to the recent period of hot, dry weather.

This briefing is accessible to NFU members only and you will be asked to log in.

How to log in: Use your membership number or the email address associated with your membership to log in. If you've forgotten your password, you can click here to reset it or contact NFU CallFirst on 0370 845 8458.
