The TIFF is a measure of the performance of the whole agricultural industry in the UK.
The profitability of UK farming fell by 4.4% to £5.4 billion in 2014, after adjusting for inflation.
However, 2014 still represents the sixth successive in which farm profitability has exceeded the £4 billion mark.
TIFF is now around two and three quarters (184%) higher than it was in 2000, but is still around 30% below its peak in 1995.
