Delayed Ofgem RHI payments: Let us know if you've been affected

FEC Energy combined heating and power system online_54168

The NFU is concerned to hear reports of delayed Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) payments for some farmers and would like to better understand the extent of this issue and the impacts it might be having on farm businesses, in order to lobby on their behalf.

The NFU is aware that payments from Ofgem for the RHI scheme are currently running some 12-16 weeks late (normal payment terms 28 days), and has already received numerous reports from farmers and growers about the impact this is having on their businesses.

Anecdotally, Ofgem is said to have a backlog of claims and is ‘doing its best’ to clear them.  The NFU and its Farm Energy Service are collating a list of affected members and the amounts outstanding, to help make the case with government officials.

If you have a renewable heat installation and have experienced a delayed incentive payment from Ofgem, please complete our online reporting form.

Alternatively, you may contact CallFirst on 0370 845 8458 for assistance completing the form.
