In November 2013, the Farm Safety Partnership launched the 'Safe Deliveries' Campaign which aims to draw attention to the importance of planning for deliveries on-farm.
A 4-page Guidance Note has been produced which informs farmers of the key safety principles when organising a feed delivery on-farm.
Entitled, "Managing the Safe Receipt of Animal Feeds", this Note follows the release of the AIC's "AIC Code of Practice for Making Safe Deliveries of Animal Feed to Farms", aimed at the Agri-supply sector which offers detailed information on the requirements to be met to safely accept delivery of animal feed. The 4-page Guidance Note provides practical guidance on compliance with this AIC "Code of Practice".
