March Timely Reminder

Pregnant woman_275_183Lambing safety for pregnant women

With lambing season upon us, take a few minutes to make sure you take precautions to keep your staff safe. This is particularly the case for pregnant women, as contact with sheep during lambing may risk their own health and that of their unborn child.

To avoid the possible risk of infection, pregnant women are advised to avoid contact with animals and any clothing or materials that may have come into contact with animals that have recently given birth, their young or afterbirths and any clothing that may also have been in contact.
