The Chancellor of the Exchequer will deliver his Autumn Statement this week.

Regarded as his second-biggest speech of the year after the Budget, Philip Hammond will present an update on the state of the economy and outline government spending plans at 12.30pm on Wednesday 23 November.

Our Submission

The NFU has written to the Chancellor ahead of his announcements.

In our submission, we've raised some medium to long-term implications of Brexit and touched upon the largest consultation in a generation in our sector and the resulting bold, ambitious vision for future farming described by the NFU.

Post-Brexit trading arrangements and suggestions on Corporation Tax, National Insurance, the National Living Wage and broadband provision also feature in our letter.

Comment: Glad to see you are pushing for incentives (tax relief) on infratructure investment. This will be key for us to survive and take advantages of new opportunites.
