Representatives from a new industry-backed MEng Food Engineering degree course will be joined on stand 1028 by a young engineer from Silver Spoon, AB World Foods and Jordans & Ryvita who will tell budding food engineers what it's like to work in the UK's largest manufacturing sector, and the great prospects the industry has to offer.

Visitors to the stand will also get a chance to take part in some exciting food engineering activities including a Kit Kat production challenge from Nestlé UK and Mondelez International’s rig system engineering challenge.

The MEng Food Engineering degree at Sheffield Hallam University is the UK’s first food engineering masters' degree course dedicated entirely to food and drink manufacturing.

Food and drink is the largest manufacturing sector in the UK and is home to some of the world's best-loved brands. It is estimated that the industry needs around 170,300 new recruits by 2020 to help it meet growing demand.
