The NFU's response favouring option two, a property based bond scheme.

In their response published on the 10th of January the government favoured a refreshed Exceptional Hardship Scheme.

No details of this scheme have been published.

There will be a full consultation in May of this year about this refreshed scheme.

The NFU consider this is a totally inadequate response.

The NFU has made a presentation to a group of MPs whose constituencies are affected by HS2 who are specifically looking at Compensation and Blight issues.

Following this meeting a briefing prepared with the CLA and CAAV has been sent to relevant MPs.

The intention is also to send it to those MPs whose constitiuencies may be affected by the extension of the railway to Leeds and Manchester.

If you have the opportunity please lobby your MP on this issue.
