On 11 February 2020, the government published the Oakervee Review and its intention to form an Integrated Rail Plan for the Midlands and the North. The plan will identify how to integrate HS2, Northern Powerhouse Rail and other investments. The Integrated Rail Plan is to be informed by an assessment of the rail needs of the Midlands and the North which is currently being carried out by the National Infrastructure Commission.
The National Infrastructure Commission published a call of evidence to gather a range of views and data from stakeholders.
The NFU has submitted a response to the call for evidence, which is available to read here.
