Farmer's Pride survey: local varieties and crop wild relatives

Field margins supporting pollinators_51299

Our future food security depends on the survival of a wide range of plant varieties. These are a vital source of genetic diversity that can be used to develop new commercial varieties in an ever-changing environment.

The Farmer’s Pride project aims to help conserve these varieties on farms and in the wild, and a first step is to find out where they still exist.

If you are growing local varieties or looking after wild relatives of crop species on your land, or if you’re just interested in knowing more, please visit the project website and fill in the short online survey: www.farmerspride.eu.
