NFU Farmer & Grower members can now get a discount on Absolute Accounting's Excel VAT Filer.

What is the Excel VAT Filer?

The Absolute Excel VAT Filer is bridging software which allows you to submit your VAT data in the correct digital format to HMRC. It is easy to use and doesn’t require you to buy a new bookkeeping package, saving you time & money by not having to learn a new accounting system. The Excel VAT Filer works  with standalone spreadsheets or spreadsheets exported from non-MTD accounting packages. The software is recognised by HMRC as MTD compatible software and comes with free online technical support from the Absolute team.

Further information on how the Absolute Excel VAT Filer can help you can be found here and there is a video below showing how the software works. PLEASE NOTE: Microsoft Excel 2010 or newer is required to run this software.

What is the discount?

NFU members can buy the Excel VAT Filer now for just £20 + VAT per year, a 50% discount off the normal price.

Who can get the discount?

How do I get the discount?

  • Call NFU CallFirst on 0370 845 8458 and make a payment for the software.
  • You will then be sent an email by the NFU with the software, a How To Guide and FAQs document – these will enable you to familiarise yourself with the software and set it up prior to April when filing  VAT returns under Making Tax Digital becomes mandatory for most businesses whose taxable turnover is above the VAT registration threshold (£85,000).
  • In February 2019 the NFU will then inform Absolute Accounting of  all members that have paid for the software and Absolute Accounting will contact the members directly with the  licence key that will enable  them to submit their VAT return  to HMRC. The NFU will also transfer the payment of the  software to Absolute Accounting.
