- Above, on Tuesday last week, Poultry Adviser Aimee Mahony visited the Welsh Government with (From L-R) NFU Cymru Policy Adviser Dafydd Jarrett, broiler producer and NFU Cymru member Ian Williams and poultry producer and NFU Poultry Board member Clare Morgan. They were discussing lessons learnt from the most recent AI outbreak.
- Defra launched its consultation on a code of practice for the welfare of meat chickens and breeding chickens. We were keen to gauge member feedback to make sure experiences were heard loud and clear. We're giving poultry members the chance to submit their opinion here.
- The team were part of a conference call with Defra around the contamination of eggs. After Fipronil was found in eggs in the Netherlands and Germany, we were quick to produce guides for both members and the general public. Find the member briefing here
