Sandfields Farms, which was set up in 2007, is a farming business growing over 5000 acres of salads and vegetables for the major retailers, and employing more than 1,500 staff across Warwickshire, Worcestershire, Kent, Sussex and East Norfolk. Sandfields also grow over 1500 acres of combinable crops in rotation and their land base is predominantly rented from a whole range of landlords and farmer “partners” ranging from small to very large.
In 2011 he set up the West Africa Farms business in Senegal, for the production of 1000 acres of winter salads for the UK market.
