Day two has an exceptional line up of speakers.

We open with a session on international trade with presentations from the UK Ambassador to the WTO, Julian Braithwaite, and Shanker Singham of the Legatum Institute. Given the importance of retaining our trade connections to the EU as well as developing new agreements, their insight will be invaluable.

Following the trade session we are fortunate to be joined by the second Secretary of State at NFU Conference, the Rt Hon Greg Clark MP. Mr Clark has been the lead proponent for the Government’s Industrial Strategy which launched last November.

Conference proper closes with a panel discussion drawn from five food and farming businesses spanning the UK food chain. The challenge we have given to these businesses is to provide an insight on their recipe for change in the context of Brexit and to provide a forum for successful businesses to respond to the political and trade messages they have
heard during conference.

Our own Director General, Terry Jones, will chair what will be a really important session.

The NFU's AGM will be followed by the biennial NFU office holder elections, results of which will be posted on NFUonline as soon as they are in.
