Day two at NFU Conference 2018 kicked off with the Trade session discussing the implications of post-Brexit policy on international trade and agriculture.
The session included presentations from WTO Ambassador Julian Braithwaite and Shanker Singham, Director of Economic Policy and Prosperity Studies at the Legatum Institute.
In the second session, Greg Clark, Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, announced a £90 million fund for agri-tech. The funding is designed to help food and farming businesses to access and use innovative technology, such as AI and robotics.
