As National Dairy Chairman, as in previous roles, I have represented our membership effectively and constructively at all times and with a wide range of stakeholders. With the challenges ahead, the NFU and the wider agricultural industry needs strong leadership and a solid high-performing team. I’m confident I can deliver this.
As Dairy Chairman I’ve not been afraid to say or do what needs to be done whilst also taking into account the bigger picture. By setting a clear strategy for dairy I brought together the whole board in focusing on the three key areas of supply chains, competitiveness and promoting the best of British. These themes are as relevant to the whole farming sector as they are for dairy.
