The NFU welcomes the non-competitive approach taken by Co-op with regard to antibiotics and are pleased that the Co-op is engaged with RUMA via British Retailer Consortium (BRC).
The Co-op has also highlighted their sourcing policies and the NFU is very pleased to see the commitments they have made to British produce – this includes 100% milk, cream, and milk used for block butter, cheddar and yoghurts, 100% fresh British chicken, 100% fresh own-brand beef, 100% shell eggs (Free range and British), 100% fresh British lamb year round, 100% fresh pork.
