The NFU has responded critically to proposals which would introduce impractical TB testing requirements for movements to and from common land and limit the ability of farmers to work with their vets to manage TB breakdowns.
The government consultation closed last Friday and the NFU has already held meetings with government officials to discuss future proposals, expected in spring 2014, which would introduce more testing for movements within Sole Occupancy Authorities and to shows.
