The NFU has been in consultation with AIC to make important changes to the number 1 contract for selling grain.
The changes offer increased clarity for farmers especially around the insolvency clause. NFU members can have a look at the new contract here - you will be required to log in.
Key advice for members:
- Deals done before this contract came into being will remain as per the terms of the previous contract – although it might be possible to upgrade to the new contract, which is subject to discussions with te buyer
- The contract is in conjunction with the buyer’s specific terms and conditions. These should be updated every year, be visible on websites and some may actively send out to suppliers.
