NFU hill and uplands group views on CAP reform

The NFU hill and uplands group has produced a document outlining their views on CAP reform and concerns over the dual funding rules.

Robin Milton, chair of the hill and upland farming group commented “This round of CAP reform has been disappointing from the start, but now it is critical that it is delivered in such a  way that the losses are distributed fairly. This steering document outlines clearly and concisely the view of the NFU  hill and uplands group on CAP reform, with our suggestions and key concerns for successful delivery if farming is to continue to deliver in the uplands.”

Found below, the steering document is a brief summary of the group's views and concerns, and is intended to act as a template for discussion of CAP delivery as well as flagging up the very real concerns that many farmers share, particularly over issues such as dual funding.
