During 2013 the European Commission adopted a package of measures to strengthen the enforcement of health and safety standards for the whole agri-food chain.
There are some huge areas of concern for us - the requirement for mandatory 'cost recovery' across the whole food chain being the biggest, and the package is likely to be high on our work agenda in 2014 as well.
