The NFU is hosting a seminar – titled: Are You Brexit Ready? - on the first day of this year’s Produce Industry Fair, debating how Brexit will impact on horticultural businesses. An NFU panel will debate what’s right for farmers and growers in a new UK agricultural policy, how Brexit will likely impact on horticultural businesses, including labour, Producer Organisations and ideas for how growers can build resilience into their businesses to mitigate the effect on production and profitability.

In its second year, the UK Produce Industry Fair is the only national supply chain trade show for the sector and will offer a diverse and comprehensive range of companies on show including: growers and imports of produce, logistics, distribution, cold storage and warehouse, manufacturers and suppliers of packaging materials, racking and pallets, production line and packaging machinery suppliers, labelling, printing and related products and services, IT, software and technology, engineers and builders.

As well as the NFU’s seminar, the programme will include celebrity chef, food writer, food campaigned, and TV presenter, Rachel Green. Rachel has many strings to her apron, including Ambassador roles and recipe development for brands such as Yes Peas, The Traditional Farmfresh Turkey Association, Cole & Mason, Fresh Growers, L J Fairburn Eggs and UK Shallots.

Join the NFU seminar at 10am on the first day of the show, 12th September
