• Experience of successful strategic planning and change management
• The ability to work in a group with diverse opinions, build constructive relationships working effectively with a team of people to make effective decisions and delegate operational work to management colleagues
• Effective communication skills with the ability to effectively influence and persuade others
• Experience of board or committee work
• The ability to command the respect of your peers
• The ability to master complex issues outside their normal area of experience;
• Senior level experience in at least one of the following:
- Marketing
- Business and Financial Management
- Science Policy and Knowledge Transfer
- Research and Development
- Governance (may have sat on an Audit Committee)
- Innovation and Supply
- Performance and change management.
Essential Criteria
Candidates must demonstrate a good working knowledge of their industry sector and have experience of developing and implementing strategy.
Appointments are for three-year terms from April 2020 and require up to two days per month commitment per year, including attendance at board meetings
