Quesions and answers

If a grower notices incorrect details (contracted tonnage, field reference numbers etc.) on his copy of the insurance certificate they should contact the NFU Mutual on 01789 202040 before the 1st October to provide the correct information.

Following the significant losses experienced in the 2010/11 campaign the NFU, at the request of growers, investigated options for frost insurance for the UK sugar beet crop. A series of grower meetings were held and members confirmed their calls for insurance for the UK crop. The NFU confirmed the introduction of the frost insurance policy for the 2012/13 campaign at the Cereals event in June 2012.
