NFU Sugar confims board appointments

Sean Rickard, Nick Harris_52099

NFU Sugar are pleased to announce that Nick Harris and Sean Rickard have both been re-appointed to the NFU Sugar Board for another 2 year term. The appointment board felt that their skills have been valued by the board and that their economic and commercial skills would continue to be important to the board as the UK exits the European Union.

Sean Rickard said, ‘It is a privilege to have been re-appointed to the Sugar Board at what must be one of the most challenging periods faced by British sugar beet growers and UK farmers in general. I am looking forward to working with the board and its support team to make sure that sugar growers are not disadvantaged in their pursuit of greater efficiency and competitiveness.”

Nick Harris said, “I am delighted to have been re-appointed as a non-grower member of the sugar board. I look forward to continuing to offer insights on the industrial sugar market and extending my knowledge of the challenges facing the growers in this time of change.”
