Poultry Slaughter Course

  • Venue: Tabley, Knutsford, Cheshire, WA16 0PN
  • Date: Friday 24th November 2017
  • Two sessions: 7am or 9.30am
  • Methods of slaughter available: hand held electrical stunner (head only), captive bolt or water bath
  • Species: turkeys (other poultry species may be available)

It is important to note this is an assessment course and NOT a training course. All delegates must be competent in the slaughter method (and for the species) they are demonstrating on the day. The slaughter method and species being assessed must also be the method and species that the delegate uses on farm otherwise they will not be sufficiently covered by the license.

Discounted price for NFU members:

The assessment cost starts at £120 + VAT for NFU members (F&G members) and £150 +VAT for non-members. An additional payment of approximately £25 will be required for all successful delegates after the assessment, paid directly to the FSA in application for your certificate.
