Bursaries are awarded on merit and take into account the educational level of the course being studied and number of applications received in each year.
To be eligible for the scheme, applicants must be: resident in Devon or Cornwall and studying for a first degree, foundation degree or extended diploma at a suitable college or university in the United Kingdom on a course which includes aspects of livestock breeding, husbandry and welfare.
They must also fulfill the Trust’s objectives by intending, in the future, to work directly in livestock production, or an ancillary profession that supports livestock farming.
The closing date for degree-level applications is 30 April 2023. Diploma-level students will be able to apply later in the year.
