BPS 2021 and other farm payments: what you need to know

NFU farm business advisers tell you the key things you need to know as payments land for Basic Payment Scheme (BPS), Countryside Stewardship Scheme (CS) and Higher Level Stewardship (HLS). 

The payment window for BPS, CS and HLS is between 1 December 2021 and 30 June 2022.  

The aim is for a single correct payment to be issued for each 2021 scheme claim during this time. 

Where farmers claimed more than one of these payments in 2021, they may receive more than one scheme payment at the same time.

Checking the accompanying paperwork when it arrives is key to understanding what has been paid for.
