NFU Potato Forum members, County Advisers and NFU HQ staff will all be on hand to answer your queries and let you know about their latest sector work at BP2017 on 22-23 November in Harrogate, Yorkshire.

By the time of the event, the NFU will have reported on its review of potato payment deductions, setting out best practice for delivering transparency in the sector and identifying opportunities to build more collaboration between suppliers and customers.

The NFU will also be discussing its findings at a formal seminar at BP2017 (9.30am on 23 November) and growers will get to hear from the NFU’s Chief Legal Adviser Nina Winter who will talk about avoiding pitfalls in potato contracts.

Importantly, if you haven’t engaged with the NFU Potato Forum before, this will offer an excellent chance to speak to some of its members.

The NFU Potato Forum was first created in 2010 and consists of 12 potato growers from across the country, representing a wide range of potato markets. It’s chairman and vice chairman, Alex Godfrey and Tim Papworth respectively, also sit on the national Horticulture and Potatoes board to make sure the needs of potato growers are embedded in NFU policy. So, come along and let them know what you want the NFU to do for you.

We look forward to seeing you there!
