Flood Risk and Water Management Plans out for Consultation

Flood Risk Management Plans (FRMPs) set out the objectives for managing flood risks from a range of sources. The 10 draft FRMPs summarise the risk of flooding from rivers, the sea and reservoirs across England and Wales. Local information on flooding, such as surface water runoff, groundwater, sewers and watercourses is also provided for some local authorities.

FRMPs can be found on www.gov.uk and are being consulted on until 31 January 2015.

River Basin Management Plans (RBMPs) set out the objectives for improving quality of the water environment. They identify thecondition of rivers, lakes, groundwater, esturarineand coastal waters and the pressures on them. The plans set out the actions that will be needed in order to improve the quality status of England's waters.

RBMPs can be found on www.gov.uk and are being consulted on until 10 April 2015.

The NFU will be responding to both sets of plans, get in touch with your regional office to have your say.
