This leaflet explains the measures you should take in order to stay safe when working near gas pipelines.
Such works can include:
- Fencing
- Draining and ditching
- Tree planting
- Surface soil removal
- Mole ploughing
- Deep cultivation in excess of 0.5m
- Building construction, including barns and animal pens
- Tree felling or transportation
- Fires
- Tipping and stacking material over the infrastructure
- Movement of heavy plant and machinery.
