Tuesday 19 August

  • NFU Vice-president Rachel Hallos is meeting with the Environment Agency on flood risk management.
  • NFU Vice-president Rachel Hallos is attending a meeting and tour at Lake Windemere with stakeholders. 
  • NFU Poultry Adviser Tom Glen and NFU National Poultry Board Chair James Mottershead will be meeting with Tesco's agriculture manager for poultry meat and eggs to discuss the latest challenges and opportunities facing poultry meat and egg producers.

Wednesday 20 August

  • NFU Deputy President David Exwood is meeting with Natural England. 
  • NFU Vice-president Rachel Hallos is meeting with Jon Pearce MP (Lab, High Peak) on the risks posed by disposable BBQs. 

Thursday 21 August

  • NFU Poultry Adviser Tom Glen will be attending a GB Avian Influenza Core Group meeting to hear the latest updates on the current avian influenza outbreak and disease control strategy.

Friday 22 August

  • NFU Deputy President is attending a farming roundtable meeting with John Milne MP (Lib Dem, Horsham) with NFU County Adviser for East and West Sussex Josh Redford.
