NFU Midlands | Member Event

Join us for the next Leicestershire, Northants and Rutland county meeting on 16 April at Melton Mowbray Livestock Market starting at 7pm.

Mike Weavers, NFU bovine TB Adviser, will be covering the latest bTB situation, any political developments, local initiatives and sources of advice and assistance.

Oli Lee, Midlands Livestock Board Chair and National Livestock Board Vice-Chair, will be giving us an update on what the livestock board is currently working on, including  the Animal Welfare Strategy, the UK- EU SPS negotiations on Animal Health and cattle environmental permitting.

The Leicestershire and Rutland Rural Policing Team will update us on the changes in law following the Livestock Worrying Bill coming into effect on 18 March and the additional enforcing powers it gives them. They will also give us a rural crime update for the county.

Each speaker will be followed by a Q&A session.

Refreshments will be available.
