Accessing grant funding, protecting farms from rural crime, ensuring water for food and dealing with infrastructure projects are among the topics to be discussed.
The NFU East in Business meetings will feature expert speakers and all will be recorded, so members can watch a meeting anytime via NFUonline.
NFU East Regional Policy Manager Charles Hesketh said: “These meetings will complement existing branch, county and regional events, providing support and timely information for members on the issues that matter to them.
“Our speakers will include NFU policy experts and external guest specialists. Each meeting will last for about an hour, with plenty of opportunity for members to ask questions.”
The series kicks off at noon on 19 February with a focus on farm biosecurity and how the NFU is working with government to help protect farms from diseases such as avian influenza and bluetongue.
The speakers will be NFU Chief Animal Health and Welfare Adviser Cat McLaughlin and NFU Senior Veterinary Adviser Claire White.
On 19 March, the topic is the changing face of local government, including what devolution and other plans could mean for farm businesses and how to ensure the rural voice is heard.
This page will be updated regularly with details of upcoming meetings and recordings of past events.
