NFU Midlands officeholder elections - have you got what it takes?

Nominations for NFU Midlands officeholder positions in six counties are now open - this is your chance to serve farmers.

Nominations are invited for representatives for each county for the following posts and terms of office:

County chairs to serve for two years (2027-2029)

  • Nottinghamshire
  • Shropshire
  • Staffordshire

Council representatives to serve for two years (2027-2029)

  • Herefordshire
  • Nottinghamshire
  • Warwickshire
  • Worcestershire

County chairs and council representatives will serve as members of NFU Council and will be expected to agree to the NFU’s code of conduct for officeholders.

Nomination forms may be obtained from NFU Midlands on 02476 939402 or [email protected]

Nominations may be made by any group of 20 fully paid-up farming members within the respective county, or at a properly constituted NFU meeting of that constituency. Completed nomination forms should be returned to the above email address by 6 November.

If there is a single nomination, the individual will be deemed to be elected. If more than one candidate applies, a vote will take place by mail/email. In the event of a contested election, we will write to or email NFU members, whose registered address is in the relevant constituency on or before 20 November.

Votes must be received by the regional director at NFU Midlands, Agriculture House, Stoneleigh Park, Warks. CV8 2TZ or [email protected] before the election date.
