Sign up for one of our free pre-harvest health and safety events. Don’t miss this opportunity to find out how to protect yourself, your team and your business ahead of the busy harvest season.

Each morning workshop will cover essential health and safety topics. These will vary dependent on location but could include:

  • Quad bike/ATV safety
  • Hand and arm vibrations and tree management
  • Emergency first aid
  • Vehicle weights and licences
  • Tyre safety
  • Mental wellbeing

Fire service personnel and the police will be attending some of the events. Registration is 9.30am for a 10am start.

All participants receive a certificate of attendance. Breakfast rolls and tea and coffee will be available

NFU Regional Policy Manager Charles Hesketh said: “It’s vital that we do everything we can do improve the industry’s poor safety record and these events are an effective way to highlight safer ways of working.

“These practical sessions offer clear guidance, demonstrations and expert insight to help keep everyone safe during the busiest time in the farming calendar. ”
