Join us for a practical and informative event as part of the Big Farmland Bird Count, an annual initiative that encourages farmers and land managers to record the bird species and numbers found on their farms.

The count helps to raise awareness of the vital role farmers and land managers play in supporting farmland birds, while also measuring the impact of the conservation work being carried out across farms and estates.

We will be joined by GWCT, who will introduce the Big Farmland Bird Count and demonstrate how to use the recording app. Following this, we will head out on a guided farm walk, highlighting common farmland bird species, how to identify them, and how to record sightings using the app.

There will be plenty of opportunities to ask the experts questions throughout the event, share experiences, and showcase the positive work farms are doing for farmland wildlife.

Refreshments and light lunch included.
