We will be discussing all things water, especially water abstraction and also environmental permitting, which is looming for the dairy and some of the beef sectors.
There is a very real risk of all of our ground and water course licences being reduced by up to 60% or in some cases revoked entirely. All licences will be looked at in 2027 when the decisions will be made. The Environment Agency (EA) will be making the decisions.

Because of this a small group of Staffordshire farmers have come together to form a water abstraction group; however, for this group to be a success it is essential that farmers from all sectors get involved; therefore, your attendance at this important county meeting will be appreciated.
