The "Best of British Farming" competition ran across all social platforms – Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn – offering a chance to win a £1,000 holiday with cottages.com, as well as a hamper full of fantastic British produce.

The farmer, Ken Sellick, has sown an area of wild flowers for the past few years, opening the field to the public at weekends in return for a donation to a local charity. The photograph highlights the positive impact that farmers can have on the community. I took my elderly parents there for a picnic when this photo was taken and we had such a lovely day.”
