Organised by British Dairying magazine, the annual Cream Awards showcases some of the brightest dairy producers, vets and advisors, businesses and innovations the industry has to offer.
There are 14 categories to enter, and this year the NFU sponsored the Dairy Team Award.
Dairy Team Award
The Dairy Team Award aims to highlight the importance of having a team that works collaboratively, encourages initiative and progression in their people and who ultimately all have a shared vision and ethos, to ensure a profitable and successful dairy business.
This years winner ‘Moo Moo Organic Dairy Farm Ltd’ demonstrated exactly that.
“We all know that it takes a village, and dairy farming is no different.”
NFU Dairy Board Vice-chair Ian Harvey and NFU Dairy Adviser Amy Mepham
‘Strong ethos of collaboration’
The judges NFU Dairy Board Vice-chair Ian Harvey and NFU Dairy Adviser Amy Mepham said: “There were some very strong candidates for the dairy team award, but Moo Moo Organic stood out, demonstrating a strong ethos of collaboration and teamwork.
“Prioritising not only the highest standards on farm but the importance of the team's wellbeing and socialising together outside of the farm gate.
“A real testament to what can be achieved when a team works together with purpose, care and mutual respect towards a shared goal. We all know that it takes a village, and dairy farming is no different.”
