Taking place at NFU HQ, Stoneleigh Park, the Keeping Rivers Flowing Summit will bring together farmers, land managers and water management experts to share ideas and solutions for the future of water management across river catchments in England.
The focus of this year’s summit is on adapting to a changing climate. Climate change is making the UK warmer and wetter with warnings that drier summers and wetter winters could become the new norm.
Featuring representatives from the NFU, ADA, CLA and Environment Agency, delegates will have the opportunity to network and engage in Q&A sessions throughout the day.
Speakers include:
- Kelly Hewson-Fisher, NFU national water resources specialist
- Lisa Edwards, NFU Lancashire county chair
- David Mitchell, senior manager at the Somerset Rivers Authority
- Daniel Johns, managing director of Water Resources East.

"Agriculture is on the front lines of climate change and British farmers and growers find themselves increasingly at the mercy of severe weather events.
"We need to manage water in a way that improves farm business resilience, managing flooding when it happens and having the infrastructure to capture, store and move water in times of plenty so that we’re better prepared for dry weather and droughts."
Tom Bradshaw, NFU Deputy President
