Following this, and a year placement within the Horticulture team, she joined the national Combinable Crops Team in August 2021, working across a range of key work areas such as net zero and future farm support, alongside organising the sector’s renowned Cereals Development Programme in conjunction with Openfield, which was relaunched in 2021 following delay due to the pandemic.

With a background and education rooted in agriculture, alongside experience working within the horticultural and potatoes sector, Allie joined the NFU in 2018 as their Assistant Environment Adviser in the North East region.
