From meetings in Downing Street to a roundtable at an international trade show, NFU President Tom Bradshaw reflects on a busy week and the topics currently affecting NFU members.

In this week’s vlog, NFU President Tom Bradshaw visits 10 Downing Street to reinforce the NFU’s Budget asks on the Annual Investment Allowance, inheritance tax and red diesel.

While at the SIAL International Trade Show in Paris, Tom stresses that “it’s people that do trade, it’s not the SPS deal or trade deals”, highlighting the need to make the most of the opportunities presented by trade deals.

Tom was the leading voice for British farming at a roundtable with Farming Minister Stephen Morgan and Director General Emma Bourne, who leads on the EU Reset and SPS (Sanitary and Phytosanitary) negotiations for Defra.
