April 5 saw a virtual event with Jon Swain – NFU Energy, Jack Watts – NFU Agrifood policy delivery manager and Enzero’s Bruno Gardener. The session looked at the fundamentals the industry's journey towards net zero, while Jack Watts also produced a summary of changes in guidance on the Farming Rules for Water.
April 13 sees an event on the Berkshire/Oxfordshire border hosted by arable farmer Simon Beddows, of Dunsden Green, near Reading, for members within Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire NFU.
On April 20, members from Surrey and West Sussex are welcome to book in for an event at Westons Farm, Horsham, courtesy of David Exwood, with NIAB.
Then on April 21, the NFU has joined forces with South East Water to hold an event for dairy farmers at Parkwood Farm, near Hailsham, courtesy of the Appleton family, supported by the Maize Growers' Association.
Precision farming and regenerative techniques are in the spotlight on 27 April in Hampshire, when the NFU hosts an event at Lockerley Estate, near Stockbridge, with the Small Robot Company. The following day, Eckley Farms near Staplehurst, in Kent is the venue for an event with the NFU supported by NIAB.
