Soils health has been in the spotlight recently and Government's 25 year environment plan has highlighted soil restoration as one of its key focuses.

With this in mind, the Agriculture and Horticulture Development Board (AHDB) funds an extensive programme of research and knowledge exchange on soil management. Their Soil Biology and Soil Health Partnership are urging farmers to sign up to assist them on their forthcoming soil health project.

AHDB is looking to work with at least 6 farmer research innovation groups from a wide range of farms across the country between 2018 and 2021 to measure the impacts of the broad range of innovations in management of soil health already present on commercial farms.

Individuals or groups are wanted to help with on-farm trials, case studies and the development of a soil health scorecard. If you are passionate about improving your soil health or would like to better understand management of it, the AHDB Soil Health Partnership would like to hear from you.

Please register you interest via the online survey. Application window closes 8 February 2018.
